I began my teaching career in 2009 - I taught 6th, 7th, and 8th grade math (including Algebra I). I am familiar and very comfortable helping students on IEPs, 504s, and BIPs. I have worked with children diagnosed with ASD, ADD/ADHD, and other learning/cognitive disabilities.
It is my mission to help your child grow.
In 2009, I received my B.S. in Middle Level Teacher Education. I became certified in grades K-9. I started teaching in 2009 in inner city Chicago. From there, I worked for three years in the north suburbs of Chicago - Round Lake, Illinois. I taught 7th grade math, Pre-Algebra,and Honors Algebra I. My husband's job relocated us to Indianapolis, Indiana, where I taught 6th and 7th grade math, including an honors class.
This spring, we relocated on our final move to Parker, Colorado. I left my teaching job to pursue my own tutoring business. Inside of the classroom, I longed to work one-on-one with struggling learners. When I had this individual learning time, I noticed the gains I was able to help my students achieve. It is my mission to help your child close their achievement gap in the same way!
I look forward to meeting you and your child!
